Both Eastern and Western modalities form the basis of modern Kinesiology which developed as a natural therapy in the 1960s. It draws upon ancient eastern wisdom (the energy meridians and acupressure points of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and western knowledge of structural and reflex science.
Kinesiology uses muscle monitoring as a biofeedback tool, monitoring the integrity of the subconscious communication between the muscle and the nervous system. It can be used to provide information about the physical, chemical, emotional, mental or energetic systems of the body. It grants a window into the body, mind and spirit.
It is a holistic discipline that recognises the energetic nature of our being and the connection between our body, mind and spirit. It is based on the principle that the body has an innate intelligence and ability to heal itself.
It can be used to explore the stress patterns associated with signs and symptoms, their deeper root causes and the bodies preferences toward healing.
Ultimately we can use it to assist us in the creation of new experiences and to express more of our potential.
Kinesiology complements western medical and other natural medicine approaches.
Because of its holistic nature we can use kinesiology for any nature of issues including physical, mental and emotional.
